That’s an ‘84 Dodge Shelby Charger, which isn’t the year you want because it’s the last non-turbo year. But you know what’s under that cover on the left?
The exact same god damn thing, but red. Also a non-turbo ‘84. But it’s the pair of them for $400, and that interests me.
I’m thinking blue gets a turbo swap, maybe all the way to an SRT4 motor, and red gets a built turbo 2.2, those Hoosiers in my basement, and the full racecar gutting. I say that because the interiors on all of these are blue and gray and that looks stupid with red, but great with blue and silver.
Anyway, that’s the dumb idea I’m lusting after today.

At $400, assuming you have the space I don't see how this could go wrong

From what I can see, the blue one looks decent enough to be worth $400 on its own - if you have the space and the wherewithal this seems like a bargain.
Good luck!

I just noticed the blue one has rear window louvers. That may be worth most of the $400.

If they were both solid, I would say that is a very cool deal....always thought the Daytonas looked cool! Radwood material! :D

Now all you need to do is swap the best interior, chassis and powertrain bits and use it with this body:
which you can buy for *only* $4795!!!

And don’t worry... this is not a bad idea at all!!!

I don’t suppose either of them at least turn over?

Not to be a bad influence, but uh... do it.

My hillclimb club has a few people that have/had these. They work well.

Those Pizzas and Louvers are easily worth the $400 by themselves.
